Cowboys QB Dak Prescott makes announcement on George Pickens trade

The Dallas Cowboys finally have a WR2 for Dak Prescott.

The quarterback is pumped about the acquisition of George Pickens.

Prescott recently shared his first thoughts on the trade for Pickens from the Pittsburgh Steelers.

“You turn on the tape, you see a guy that can catch the football,” Prescott said, via The Athletic. “You put the football anywhere in his vicinity, very strong hands. More than a 50/50 catcher. He thinks it’s his ball when it’s in the air. I’m excited for him. I know we needed some help at that position.”

Prescott ain't lying. The Cowboys definitely needed a secondary receiver alongside CeeDee Lamb.

He went on to say that defenses won't be able to double both Lamb and Pickens.

The Cowboys will be counting on their passing game to lift up an uncertain running game.

They're also hoping Pickens keeps his behavior in check. He often teetered on the edge in Pittsburgh, which was potentially the reason he was available in a trade in the first place.

Now with a fresh start, Pickens has the chance to prove he's one of the NFL's premier receivers. With so much attention on Lamb, he's got a legitimate chance to do so.

Prescott knows this has the chance to be very fun for a QB.
