The NFL's schedule release has largely gotten blown way out of proportion. The talk shows do a three-hour night show about each team's schedule, but the schedules have mostly already been largely leaked by local beat reporters and the opponents have been set in stone for months.
The lone bright spot of the schedule release developing into a huge event is that social media teams have been given a chance to thrive. Rather than just putting up a video showing the opponents, dates and kickoff times, NFL social media teams have let their creative juices flow and they have come up with everything from completely out of left field to animated videos that are riddled with local easter eggs for their fans.
Whenever this movement began, the Chargers' social media team made a name for itself. It always seemed to have either the most in-depth, the best looking or the funniest schedule release video. Los Angeles has been releasing personalized schedule release videos since 2020.

Chargers schedule release video
The Chargers really like doubling up on a theme. The 2022 and 2023 releases were both anime themed, and the 2024 schedule release was video game themed. Los Angeles stuck with the latter in 2025, and chose to dive into the world of Minecraft.

The video has so many little nods in it. The shots at the division are funny with the Raiders having the worst house with embarrassing pictures of new head coach Pete Carroll on the wall, the Broncos always getting herded, and the Chiefs being destroyed by an eagle. The trolls didn't stop there, though.
The Giants lived in a spider-web-infested apartment and were then haunted by a ghost of Saquon Barkley. Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel was shown completing an interview and swimming away, since he has been known to sprint to the locker room at halftime. The Colts got trolled with a quarterback race, but Anthony Richardson needed to stop because he was tired. The Steelers were told that they had two players going down two paths, one labeled rebuild and one labeled contender, but they ended up at the same place: 9-8.
Jacksonville was trolled with the weird way new head coach Liam Coen says Duvall. The Cowboys were trolled with their fans sprinting into the stadium and light aggressively shining through the stadium windows. Even the credits were filled with troll moments as Ian Rapoport and Jordan Schultz's fight from the NFL Combine was shown.

2023
The 2023 schedule release was a sequel to the 2022 version and stuck with the anime theme. It had another great soundtrack with it, and looked visually stunning. They still used these aspects to troll their opponents, like when they showed the Lions and a gambling help line screen because a handful of Detroit players had just been caught gambling.
