Cowboys pull shocking roster move ahead of Eagles clash

The Dallas Cowboys are gearing up for a season-defining Week 12 clash against the Philadelphia Eagles as Brian Schottenheimer's team needs a win at AT&T Stadium.

The Cowboys are going to need all of their offensive weapons to fire if they are to get what would be an upset win, but one weapon won't be suiting up.

According to Nick Harris of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, receiver Jalen Tolbert is going to be inactive for today's game, marking the first time since the receiver's rookie season that he's inactive.

Tolbert has posted just 14 receptions for 172 yards and a touchdown as his offensive numbers have dropped, posting just one target and no receptions combined in his last two games.

For so long, Cowboys fans have wanted Tolbert out of the offense -- now they get their wish.

Does Tolbert inactive mean Mingo start?

Head coach Brian Schottenheimer stated earlier in the week that there was a good chance that Jonathan Mingo, a receiver the Cowboys traded for at midseason last year, would see the field.

Now, with Tolbert being inactive for the Eagles game, does that mean Mingo could finally be set to feature for Dallas? That sure feels like the way it's going to go.

Having barely been seen since the trade, Mingo, who did show promise in training camp before injury struck, was trending towards having a place in Schottenheimer's offense, and now, after a long grind, it appears he's done enough to impress the coaching staff to get the green light.

Now he's gotten his opportunity (we think), he has to make the most of it with Dallas' season on the line at AT&T Stadium.
