Cowboys' CeeDee Lamb reacts to 'exciting' return in Commanders mauling

4 hours ago 3

Dallas Cowboys receiver CeeDee Lamb was back just like he never left in the 44-22 win over the Washington Commanders at AT&T Stadium.

Lamb missed the past three weeks with an ankle sprain, and he marked his return with a monster game, going for 110 yards and a touchdown from his five receptions to remind everyone he is still the alpha of the offense.

And being on the sidelines for a while, you can bet that CeeDee was ready to get cooking with George Pickens, who himself had a big day, hauling in four catches for 82 yards, and yeah, Lamb was thrilled to be back playing.

“It's exciting,” Lamb said. “Watching my dog [Pickens] go crazy for the last four weeks, I'm pretty sure he enjoyed it. But just taking the load off him a little bit and making him play true to the offense and to what we got going. It's fun."

Lamb completes Cowboys offense

One of the biggest compliments that can be paid to this Dallas offense is that without CeeDee, the unit not only functioned, but thrived. Points totals of 40, 37, and 27 show that the offense isn't dependent on one player.

Now we add Lamb to the mix, and well, you saw what happened at AT&T. A 40-burger happened.

Given how well Pickens is playing, many want a new contract to be put in front of No. 3, and I tend to agree. This offense is playing at an elite level, and the scary thing is that they can get better.

Lamb announced his return with an almighty bang as he played a key role in obliterating a poor Washington defense as Dallas breathed life into its season.
