The NBA announced tonight that Cooper Flagg and the Dallas Mavericks will face off against Bronny James and the Los Angeles Lakers as a part of a summer league doubleheader at 8 p.m. ET on July 10th on ESPN.

The game will be followed by the San Antonio Spurs taking on the Philadelphia 76ers at 10 p.m.

The game should be an exciting watch for NBA fans as they’ll get to watch Cooper Flagg against Bronny James to tip off the summer league. The NBA Summer League is set to take place at Thomas & Mack Center and Pavilion on the campus of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, from July 10-20.

More on Cooper Flagg:

The Mavericks selected Cooper Flagg with the No. 1 overall pick in the NBA Draft last night. Flagg has the potential to help turn the Mavericks franchise around after a disappointing season and become a star in the NBA.

Flagg will be joining the Mavericks at a time when their general manager, Nico Harrison, is still under intense pressure after trading away Luka Doncic to the Lakers in February. The Mavericks hope to build around Flagg as time goes on. Dallas also still has the talents of Kyrie Irving and Anthony Davis on their roster.

More on Bronny James:

This will be Bronny James' second year playing in the NBA Summer League after being drafted by the Lakers with the 55th pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. Bronny appeared in 27 games last season with the Lakers, averaging 2.3 points per game, 0.8 assists, and 0.7 rebounds.
