Connor Hellebuyck trade from Jets has 3 logical destinations

The NHL offseason is filled with trades and doesn't appear to be close to done. 

Connor Hellebuyck, the superstar goalie for the Winnipeg Jets who won a gold medal with Team USA at the Olympics, could be next.

Things have all been a bit cryptic around Hellebuyck, but there continues to be a suggestion that he could be on the move.

Daily Faceoff's Matt Larkin has continued to list Hellebuyck in his trade lists for this offseason, and that was true in his latest ranks on Sunday.

In this latest article, Larkin goes on to list the Florida Panthers, Vegas Golden Knights and Buffalo Sabres as places that Hellebuyck could end up.

"If the Panthers decide the Bobrovsky era is over, will they come calling?" Larkin writes. "What about Vegas after Carter Hart flopped in the Stanley Cup Final? The Sabres would be interesting, too. Hellebuyck is the best player in Thrashers/Jets franchise history, but if he can bring in a return that corrects Winnipeg’s overall course, does GM Kevin Cheveldayoff have to entertain the idea? The Jets are now open to it but haven’t seen an offer they like enough. Will that change?"

The Panthers will likely be the assumption here until proven otherwise, as long as Sergei Bobrovsky isn't coming back.

Vegas would be a fascinating landing spot, but the salary cap could make it tough for the Golden Knights to pull off.

The Sabres have a lot of goalie depth, but maybe not the high-end talent needed to get this done.

There could be other suitors, too. It's definitely worth keeping an eye on Hellebuyck, because this saga isn't over.
