The Washington Commanders, over the past two seasons, have been one of the better rushing teams in football.
With Jayden Daniels hopefully healthy in 2026, the Commanders could again be a top rushing team, and they've just gotten help from a key free agent signing.
The franchise picked up Rachaad White on a one-year deal as he heads to the NFC East and will become the starter under head coach Dan Quinn.
Having seen his snaps be limited in Tampa Bay due to Bucky Irving's emergence, White now gets the chance to rediscover his form in Washington, and that's a great thing for Daniels.

White a shrewd Commanders signing
Easily a starter for half of the league, White comes to Washington with the ability to seriously help the offense.
He hasn't hit 1,000 yards in a season yet, but in the past two seasons, he was a backup behind Irving. Prior to that? He had 990 yards in 2023.
Plus, his skills in pass protection will be valuable for Daniels, who got sacked for fun in his two seasons, and White has proven he can be the bellcow for the offense, which is needed.
So, there are a host of reasons why this move for Washington is a good one, and on a one-year, likely prove-it deal, it could end up being a steal for the NFC East franchise.
