Comedian Amy Sedaris sparked backlash online after cracking an outlandish “transphobic” joke during CNN’s New Year’s Eve broadcast that left co-hosts Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper speechless.

The 46-year-old “Strangers with Candy” star, who appeared as the first guest during Wednesday’s live telecast, left the hosts and viewers stunned with her shocking tongue-in-cheek remark after being asked where she thought the best place to meet a man would be in 2026.

“Oh, where’s a good place to meet a man? I’d say the ladies’ room,” Sedaris quipped, as her joke was met with cringe-worthy silence during the “New Year’s Eve Live” segment in Times Square.

She then faltered awkwardly before repeating the question and asking, “Maybe Bergdorf’s? I don’t know.”

Cohen and Anderson exchanged confused glances before the “Elf” alum turned the query on them, fumbling another joke that a “fire station” would be the right place.

“Yeah, fire stations, that’s it,” the Emmy-winning Bravo host responded, as he and the CNN anchor cracked uncomfortable smiles.

The humiliating misstep quickly drew mixed reactions on social media, with some slamming the comic for making a “transphobic joke” and others hailing her “dark humor.”

“Does Amy Sedaris hate trans people…?” one user posted on X, as another said, “Amy Seradis [sic] really didn’t hide her transphobia there on @CNN’s New Year’s Eve shoe. Ouch.”

Another critic blasted her, saying, “What the hell was that comment?? To two men proudly in the LGBTQ Community too…”

One commenter snarked that “she will not be invited back next year by CNN for that joke.”

Others online rushed to her defense amid the social media uproar.

“God forbid a comedian make a good joke,” an X user declared, with others praising her for making an “excellent joke.”

The off-the-walls broadcast made headlines again later in the night when the 57-year-old Bravo honcho tore into former New York City Mayor Eric Adams in a booze-fueled rant just minutes after the ball dropped in Times Square.

“I’d like to say, watching the final moments of Mayor Adams’ chaotic, horrible–,” Cohen spewed as Cooper, 58, passively failed to stop the wild tirade.

“I just want to say, I mean, he’s got his pardons, he’d pardoned,” Cohen, holding a drink, started to stammer, as Cooper pleaded, “Don’t.”

“I just want to say, I mean he’s got his pardons, he’s pardoned. Great, you got your pardons, go off in the sunset. We’ll, we’ll fiddle with what we have, with what you left us.”

The federal corruption case against Adams was dropped by President Trump’s Department of Justice rather than the White House issuing a pardon.

Adams fired back Thursday morning in a stinging, succinct message for the celeb.

“I have two letters for him: AA,” the Democrat told The Post, with a laugh in reference to Alcoholics Anonymous.
