Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill didn't feature for the team much this season as the five-time Pro Bowler suffered a season-ending injury against the New York Jets in Week 4.

Despite his limited time on the field, Hill has been in the news with speculations about his future in Miami intensifying as the regular season nears its conclusion. The Dolphins caught the attention after a cryptic reply to a fan's post about his $51.9M cap hit for the 2026 season.

"What Tyreek wants is not relevant. His cap number is not managable for Miami to take on. He’s gone," a fan wrote on X.

Tyreek Hill's Dolphins future uncertain after quarterback Tua Tagovailoa's benching

The Dolphins will save $23.65 million in cap space if they cut Hill and it improves to $36 million if he is released after June 1. Hill turns 32 in March and Miami could part ways with the veteran wide receiver in the wake of his recent injury struggles.

The trade rumors surrounding Tyreek Hill have been around for a few weeks, but the speculation has grown after the Dolphins benched franchise quarterback Tua Tagovailoa last week.

Tagovailoa's benching has sparked rumors that Miami could be heading into a new direction. If the quarterback is traded before June 1, the Dolphins will have $45.2 million in dead money.
