The three days of the NFL Draft flew by, and now it's time to shift focus to the summer to see what teams will do next. One of the biggest storylines from the weekend was Shedeur Sanders falling to the fifth round, despite being projected as a second-round pick at the latest.
Alarms sounded as Sanders slid down the draft board—no one saw it coming, and many were left speechless as it unfolded. However, one person took it to heart and decided it was time for a change: Sanders’ brother, Shilo, made a significant move regarding who represents him.
Until now, the Sanders brothers had been represented by their father, Deion Sanders. Some believe this family arrangement may have contributed to Shedeur’s draft slide—most notably, Stephen A. Smith.
“NFL teams don't want to deal with Shedeur Sanders because of his dad's influence and they 'can't admit it,'” Smith said. “[Shedeur's] not gonna just take instructions ... he's going to challenge your football intellect.”
But Shilo went a step further. He hired a new agent and moved away from his father’s representation.
“Dad was our agent," Sanders said. "but that hasn't been working out too good. So today I had to sign with an agent.”

Shilo, who went undrafted, was later signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He and his dad celebrated the news live on Twitch. With both Sanders brothers now on different NFL teams, Deion Sanders won’t be coaching either of them—at least not anytime soon. Although Deion has publicly stated he wouldn’t coach in the NFL, he has also said he would make an exception to coach his sons.
Shilo may have made the right decision by finding his own agent, as many believe Deion’s involvement significantly hurt Shedeur’s chances of being selected early in the draft.
