With the days until the NFL Draft slowly winding down, front offices are beginning to make their final decisions on who to pick. Decisions could alter the fate of franchises, with one such decision being who you draft at quarterback.
Shedeur Sanders has been a superstar ever since his arrival on Colorado's campus, and will now likely be the second quarterback taken in this year's draft. However, the multi-million dollar question is: Where should he go?
"Systematically, the Giants are almost certainly the best fit for Sanders' play style," ESPN's Ben Solak says. "Head coach Brian Daboll and offensive coordinator Mike Kafka's offense has relied on RPOs, but they're not a cornerstone of the system. In general, they've had a gun and spread-heavy approach that encourages quick targets to the underneath areas of the field — Sanders' strengths."
This past season, the Giants moved on from quarterback Daniel Jones, and ended the year splitting quarterback shifts between Tommy DeVito and Drew Lock. A player like Sanders could, in theory, give the franchise a face under center for the future.
Solak also says that the Giants, as opposed to other teams picking early on in the first round, have the necessary weapons to make Sanders successful. Malik Nabers, entering his second year in the NFL, was tabbed as a receiver who bears a resemblance to Travis Hunter, who was Sanders' top target with the Buffaloes.
"There aren't many receivers in the league whom Sanders would enjoy working with more than Nabers," Solak said.

Additionally, offensive tackle Andrew Thomas was mentioned as a player who will be key in supporting Sanders through his rookie campaign. As a left tackle, Thomas can cover Sanders' blind side, taking pressure off of Sanders as he goes up against NFL defenses.
Despite the ideal fit, Solak believes that the Giants will not pick Sanders with their third overall pick.
"I strongly believe they won't take him at No. 3," he said. "They have the No. 34 pick and an extra third-rounder with which to trade, however. Moving up into the end of Round 1 to secure Sanders would be a wise franchise-building move."
