College football rankings: Updated NCAA Top 25 polls after Oklahoma, Missouri losses in Week 9

Week 9 of the college football season was relatively quiet compared to its predecessors, but there were still some notable outcomes.

Early in the window, No. 8 Ole Miss went into Norman and beat No. 13 Oklahoma in a battle of top-15 teams. Later in the afternoon, No. 10 Vanderbilt took care of No. 15 Missouri, while No. 4 Alabama survived a scare against South Carolina. Texas engineered one of the season’s most exciting comebacks to avoid being upset by Mississippi State but saw star QB Arch Manning helped off the field with a possible concussion in overtime.

Finally, in the nightcap, No. 3 Texas A&M made a statement against LSU to remain undefeated, cementing the Aggies' place in college football this year.

With most of the best teams in the country leaving Week 9 with a victory, this week's rankings shouldn’t see too much of a shakeup. Nonetheless, with one week closer to the College Football Playoff, teams are looking to sharpen their cases for the 12-team tournament.
