College football fans react to Illinois being ranked again in Week 13 poll

The two-week drought for the Illinois football team is over. The Illini snapped their losing streak and returned to the AP Top 25 poll entering Week 13.

Illinois' 38-16 win against Michigan State capped off its best home season since 2001, and when the news broke Sunday, reactions from the fanbase were everywhere.

"Breaking: #Illini back into AP Top 25, checking in as number 24 after an impressive win over Michigan State," Illini Muse wrote.

Another fan, "Illinideerhunter," gave their seal of approval.

"Congrats. Love this team!!! ILL," he wrote.

Missouri native Nicholas Hand said he was grateful for every home game experience.

"Thank you, Coach," Hand wrote in a reply to Illinois football coach Bret Bielema. "Was a memorable home schedule, and the 5.5-hour round trips each gameday were well worth it!"

Illinois is 7-3 (4-3 Big Ten) with two regular-season games remaining (at Rutgers and Northwestern at Wrigley Field). If it wins both, it will have a chance at a high-profile bowl game like the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl, which is on the table for the Illini.

Wide receiver Pat Bryant left his mark on Illini football history

Wide receiver Pat Bryant made the most of his final regular season game at Memorial Stadium, snagging four catches for 135 yards and a touchdown. Although it may have seemed like a routine day for Bryant, he became the all-time leading receiver in Memorial Stadium history (touchdown catches).

Illinois-Rutgers gets underway at noon ET from Piscataway, New Jersey, streaming exclusively on Peacock.
