In the 2025-26 season, the Charlotte Hornets have been one of the most pleasant stories. They have been a mediocre team in recent years, but now, they have shown they have the potential to become a top team in the future.
With a core trio of LaMelo Ball, Brandon Miller, and Kon Knueppel, they have a promising future. The front office has also done a great job of surrounding them with talented players, including Coby White, whom they traded for at the trade deadline.
Coby White wants the Hornets to learn how to bounce back after a discouraging loss
The Hornets lost to the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday, 118-114. Charlotte could have won the game because they had the lead, but a 17-point fourth quarter led to their downfall against the Sixers. It was a tough result to stomach, but the Hornets need to bounce back quickly.
It was a fantastic night for the 76ers as they had three players scoring over 26 points. This was a result that could propel them further up the Eastern Conference standings. On the other hand, the Hornets have to learn a significant lesson moving forward.

As the newest Hornets player, White has a fresh perspective on his team. He wants them to learn how to lock in when they face adversity. It is a big-time lesson for any team, especially for one that is on the rise. He is ready to be one of the catalysts for the Hornets moving forward.
"These last couple of games, we gotta fight, we gotta claw away to improve our odds of making the playoffs. It hurt, but we had some good chatter before the coaches came in amongst ourselves," White said about the Hornets' mentality after the loss.
"But also, how can we not let it bleed into tomorrow? How can we come back with a refreshed mind tomorrow, ready to compete?"
He brings up a good point because he knows the Hornets are a young team. They are not used to success just yet, so when they reset their mentality, they could be a much better team. They are playing against the Boston Celtics on Sunday, so they will need to lock in again and bounce back.
