Heading into the 2025 college football season, Dabo Swinney and the Clemson Tigers are in great shape at the quarterback position. Cade Klubnik took the nation by storm last season and finally started showing off the top-tier potential that he had when he was originally brought in to the program.
Klubnik has the position set for the upcoming season, but the future is cloudy at quarterback. Swinney will have some work to do to make sure that Clemson remains in College Football Playoff contention.
Adding more talent at quarterback is a clear need for almost every team in the nation. To that end, Swinney has been pursuing an intriguing elite option in the 2027 recruiting class.
Trent Seaborn, who hails from Alabaster, Alabama, has received interest from the Tigers. In fact, he's set to make a visit to Clemson on June 7 and 8. He will be working out at Swinney's high school camp.
As shared by The Clemson Insider, Seaborn has also sent out a very strong message about his interest in the Tigers as well.
“No doubt, they really make me feel special up there,” Seaborn said. “And I really love them a lot too.”

According to 247 Sports, Seaborn is a four-star prospect in the 2027 class. He is ranked as the No. 16 overall quarterback in the class, the No. 222 overall player, and the No. 7 overall recruit from the state of Alabama.
Plenty of other teams are also showing interest in the four-star quarterback. Among those programs are Alabama, Arizona State, Arkansas, Auburn, and Florida State.
It will be interesting to see what Swinney and Clemson decide to do at quarterback for the future. Keep an eye on Seaborn as a potential target who could fill a major need long-term.
