Clash Royale Merge Tactics Update (December 2025): New Ruler and Troops, explained

Supercell recently announced the Clash Royale Merge Tactics Update's (December 2025) release. This patch will include a new Ruler, three new Troops, and more. The Battle Machine is arriving in Clash Royale's arena, and the Royale King will also get a new skin. The three new Troops include two 2-Elixir Troops and one 5-Elixir Troop.

Clash Royale Merge Tactic Update (December 2025): New Ruler and skins

Battle Machine, the proudest invention of the master builder, is arriving in Clash Royale Merge Tactics in the December Update. It is a building master that summons a random one, two, three, or four star building in the Battle. This building can arrive in Rounds one, three, five, and eight.

Keep collecting Battle Machine cards to be able to unlock two free Battle Machine skins from its Level-up reward track. You can get the Zebrawood Machin skin, the Sceme Machine skin, and a Blazing Bombshell confetti from this track.

Apart from that, the Forge Machine skin will be available in the Merge Tactics Shop. You can also unlock the Battle Machine by purchasing the skin if you haven't unlocked the Ruler from the Starsteel Road.

A Royale King Skin is also arriving in this update. The King dresses up for the holiday season, and you can purchase this Santa King skin with Gems.

Clash Royale Merge Tactics Update December 2025: New Troops

Supercell is bringing new Troops in the December 2025 Clash Royale Merge Tactics Update. Mini P.E.K.K.A and Royale Giant are arriving as new two Elixir Troops, and the Monk is arriving as a five Elixir Troop.

• Mini P.E.K.K.A: The miniature version of P.E.K.K.A with a higher movement speed. The lightly armored heavy hitter can finish off your enemies.
• Royale Giant: The slow-moving, tanky Ranger troop shoots with his cannon.
• Monk: Creates a shield that deflects damage towards the offender and heals Monk every few hits.

The official update post also mentions that Troops like Archer, Bomber, Knight, Baby Dragon, Electro Wizard, and Giant Skeleton will retire from Clash Royale Merge Tactics after the December 2025 update.
