WASHINGTON — Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer was taken to a local hospital Wednesday morning for dehydration treatment as the Northeast battles a scorching heat wave.
The Brooklyn Democrat, 74, became lightheaded while working out and was briefly hospitalized “out of an abundance of caution,” a spokesperson told The Post.

Schumer, who was first elected to the Senate in 1998, has since been released and is back to work in the Capitol, the rep added.
