Chris Pratt Has Sweetest Reaction to 'Parks and Rec' Costar Aubrey Plaza's Pregnancy (Exclusive)
Andy still has nothing but love for April.
Chris Pratt shared his reaction to news that his former Parks and Recreation costar Aubrey Plaza is pregnant with her and Christopher Abbott's first baby.
"She's going to do great," Pratt exclusively told E! News' Will Marfuggi at the Beverage Forum in Manhattan Beach, Calif., on April 28. "She's going to be a fantastic mother. She's very caring person."
And Pratt—whose character Andy Dwyer married Plaza's April Ludgate in season three—knows the actress is in for a joyful ride after debuting her baby bump earlier this month.
"It's gonna be an amazing chapter for her," he shared. "We're all very excited for her."
As dad to kids Lyla, 5, Eloise, 3, and Ford, 16 months, with wife Katherine Schwarzenegger and son Jack, 13, with ex-wife Anna Faris, Pratt understands firsthand just how rewarding parenthood can be, explaining how he recently had an epiphany about the best way to impart life lessons onto his children.
"I was driving by this church, and it said, 'Sometimes a good life is better than a good sermon,'" the 46-year-old recalled. "So, I think instead of telling your kids what to do, just doing it."
That philosophy recently rang true for the Guardians of the Galaxy star while teaching his oldest son about health and fitness.
"My kid wants to work out with me because I'm going to go work out—whether he does it with me or not," he explained. "And so kind of being the example that you want is the key there."

He's also set the example for all of his kids on nutrition through his drink company Jocko Fuel. While Pratt is staying energized with their JOCKO GO caffeinated beverages, his teenage son Jack is fueling up on the Warrior Kid protein shakes.
"My son hammers them," Pratt raved. "I'm like, 'Dude, OK, come on. That's a week's worth supplies. I don't have another one.' He loves them."
Pratt’s "super picky" girls also like the shakes, though he quipped, "Because I always talk about, 'Hey, go get me a JOCKO GO out of the fridge,' they think any of the drinks are called JOCKO GOs. So they said, 'Daddy, can have a chocolate JOCKO GO?’"

The Marvel actor—who attended the Beverage Forum to speak on a protein panel with partner Jocko Willink—has even recruited Jack to be involved in the business side as a taste tester.
"My son is pretty discerning in his taste," Pratt noted. "As the flavor profiles have evolved, it's now to a point where he's like, 'Damn, this is actually really good.'"
