Rumors about Chris Jericho returning to WWE have been going around for months now. Interestingly, Y2J's recent post on social media has sparked speculation that the veteran may not return to the Stamford-based promotion alone.

Fans were overjoyed to see Jericho and Kevin Owens reunited, as they were recently spotted together. Y2J shared a picture with The Prizefighter on his Instagram, which immediately spread like wildfire among fans online.

Many started speculating that the duo could return to WWE together and win the Tag Team Championship. KO has been sidelined due to a neck injury since April. Meanwhile, Chris Jericho is currently part of AEW, having left the global juggernaut in 2018.

Owens and Jericho share a storied history. From best friends to bitter enemies, they have been through it all. Their time as allies is still fondly remembered by the WWE Universe, as it gave birth to the iconic "List of Jericho." However, despite their popularity, the duo never won the tag team titles together.

Therefore, if Jericho returns to WWE and The Prizefighter is cleared to compete, they could reunite and go for tag team gold. On SmackDown, The Wyatt Sicks have a vice grip on the Tag Team Championship, as no team seems to have an answer for their dominance.

The Canadian duo could do the unthinkable and catch the eerie faction off guard by returning and immediately dethroning Dexter Lumis and Joe Gacy as WWE Tag Team Champions.

That said, while it sounds exciting, this scenario is only based on speculation and is unlikely to happen. Y2J is currently signed to AEW, and there is no update on when Kevin Owens will return.

Chris Jericho has teased returning to WWE

Rumors about Chris Jericho returning to WWE have been circulating ever since he went on a hiatus from AEW TV in April. The veteran has also teased making a comeback to the global juggernaut, adding fuel to the fire.

In August, the AEW star liked an Instagram picture, suggesting that he was open to returning to the Stamford-based promotion following the expiration of his AEW contract. The veteran recently announced the lineup for next year's Jericho Cruise event, in which there are no wrestlers from the Tony Khan-led promotion, hinting that his time in All Elite Wrestling may have come to an end.

Fans are clamoring for Chris Jericho to return for one last run and a potential Hall of Fame induction. It will be interesting to see if the veteran comes back to WWE.
