Chloe Kim is sharing a new detail about her relationship with Myles Garrett—and it didn’t start the way most people might expect. During a recent podcast appearance, the Olympic snowboarder revealed that her physical therapist was the one who first connected the two, setting up an introduction that eventually turned into a daily conversation.
Speaking on Not Skinny But Not Fat, Kim explained that the introduction took place in early 2025, while she was training for the X Games. At the time, she said she was venting to her therapist about her frustrations with dating and joking that she might stay single for good. That conversation led to an unexpected suggestion: Garrett.

“I was like, ‘I can’t date anymore… I’m just gonna be single forever,’” Kim said, describing the moment. Her therapist, who knew both athletes through professional circles, introduced the NFL star as a potential match and arranged a quick FaceTime introduction while Garrett was on vacation and Kim was in Aspen.
Kim said the initial call was brief and casual—“super small talk”—and she didn’t expect it to lead anywhere. But shortly after, Garrett reached out directly, texting her to ask how her X Games practice had gone. That message, she said, turned into consistent communication. According to Kim, the two have texted “every day since” that first exchange.
The relationship has since become more visible, with Garrett supporting Kim in person during her Olympic run in Italy. The Cleveland Browns defensive end was seen on the side of the halfpipe in Livigno, filming her qualifying run as she advanced to the final. Afterward, the two shared a moment together near the course, continuing a dynamic that has blended elite sports with a low-key personal connection.
Kim, 25, entered the Olympics already holding two halfpipe gold medals, having won in both 2018 and 2022. Her return to competition this year came shortly after recovering from a shoulder injury sustained in training, yet she still posted the top score in qualifying.
Garrett, meanwhile, is coming off a historic NFL season that included breaking the single-season sacks record and earning another Defensive Player of the Year honor.

Despite their high-profile careers, Kim said their relationship stays grounded by design. “We don’t really talk about our jobs,” she shared in a separate interview. “Getting a break from work and just enjoying each other’s company is nice.”
