Taylor Swift’s Engagement Ring Designer Is Launching a Bridal Line
Gracie Hunt’s new ring isn’t just bling.
One week after the Kansas City Chiefs heiress got engaged to fiancé Derek Green, she revealed that her ring has a special meaning for their blended families.
For one, the ring was partially designed by Scott Polk at Lyles DeGrazier jewelry in Dallas, who helped design the engagement piece Gracie’s dad Clark Hunt got for her mom Tavia Shackles.
"Derek designed the ring alongside Lyles DeGrazier,” Gracie told People in an interview published April 7, “which makes it incredibly special to me because so much intention and thought went into every detail.”
As the 27-year-old noted, the connection to her own family made her massive ring “feel even more meaningful and connected” to her family, which also includes her younger siblings Knobel Hunt, 23, and Ava Hunt, 21.
Meanwhile, the bride-to-be’s man also had two emeralds encrusted on her ring’s band to sit alongside the elongated cushion-cut diamond as a nod to his last name, which Gracie called, “such a thoughtful and personal touch.”
But the most important specification for Gracie—who started dating Derek in 2025 after nearly a decade of friendship—is an engraving.
“What makes it even more sentimental is that he had one of my favorite Bible verses engraved inside the band,” Gracie added, “a constant reminder of the foundation of faith our relationship is built on.”
As for the proposal itself—which occurred during a family trip to Mexico April 3—the Southern Methodist University alum was completely surprised.

“It was absolutely magical, and I was completely surprised!" Gracie shared. “We had planned the trip months in advance so everyone could spend time together over Easter. We were at a point in the relationship where I knew engagement was in our future, but I didn’t know when he would do it.”
When he did finally pop the question though, it was in the best way possible.
“It truly didn’t feel real,” Gracie recalled of the extravagant proposal. “I turned around and saw the most breathtaking proposal setup, with Derek standing at the end. I was speechless.”
Indeed, Derek—son to former Chiefs quarterback Trent Green—had put together a massive stage-like platform for his moment with Gracie, complete with a beautiful floral display and dozens of candles. For the fitness influencer though, the emotions of it all made it the most special.
“My heart was so full that I didn’t even know what to do with myself," she added. “Seeing Derek emotional made it even more overwhelming because it reminded me just how much this moment meant to both of us."
