A man who threatened to shoot a chicken shop worker with a fake gun has been sentenced in the UK — and the reason behind the rampage will shock you.
Marwan Khadir, 18, has been jailed for three years following the attack at the Penge High Street chicken shop in south London, which started after he realized he had been given the wrong sauce for his food.
Khadir physically assaulted the shop worker three times in the two-minute attack on December 24 last year, before pulling out an imitation firearm and threatening to shoot and kill the employee. He was sentenced at London’s Woolwich Crown Court on Tuesday.
Security footage of the incident released by police shows Khadir asking the employee, “How many garlic sauces did you put in the bag?”
He then returned home and discovered he had instead received burger sauce, prompting him to pace around his unit as he complained about his order over the phone.
Khadir returned to the shop and confronted the employee.
“Bossman, come here,” he said.
“Why you (did you) give me four burger sauce? I asked for three garlic and three mayo.”
He asked the worker to open the door of the front counter before jumping on it and lunging towards the worker. He was then pushed back behind the counter, before he pulled out the replica weapon, cocked it and verbally threatened the worker.
“I’m going to kill you now, are you mad?” he shouted.

Khadir was arrested on January 2 after the incident was reported on Christmas Day, when officers seized the replica gun and fake ammunition.
Prior to being sentenced, he pleaded guilty to carrying a fake gun with the intent to cause fear of violence and making threats to kill and assault.
Metropolitan Police Detective Sergeant Amy Cross, who led the investigation, praised the victim for being courageous enough to come forward and identify Khadir after the ordeal.
“All our thoughts continue to remain with the victim of this terrifying ordeal, something no one should ever have to go through, let alone at their place of work,” she said.
“The strength he has shown since the attack has been remarkable.”
