The Kansas City Chiefs have had a good offseason to date, with the offense getting a star back in Kenneth Walker to revamp the run game.
Defensively, Trent McDuffie and Jaylen Watson have moved on, leaving the Chiefs short at the corner position, but they now have two first-round picks at their disposal to reshape the defense.
But how should we view Kansas City after the first wave of free agency? Are they better? Or are they worse?
CBS Sports' Pete Prisco has them at No. 18.
"The big story is the rehab timetable for quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his torn ACL," Prisco wrote. "When he is ready, he will have a new back in Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III to help the run game. If Mahomes is healthy, they will be higher on this list when the season starts."

Chiefs disrespected in power rankings?
At face value, you could say that, but if we are being honest, the main reason Kansas City is so low is due to their performance last season, and the fact that we don't know when Patrick Mahomes will return.
If it is in Week 1, I'd imagine the franchise would be higher than 18th.
So, the value of Mahomes is staring us right in the face. Still, the Chiefs appear to be in good shape heading towards the draft, where they will be key players, thanks to two first-round picks.
But I'd imagine, as the offseason rolls on, we might see the Chiefs slowly climb the power rankings ladder.
