Chicago P.D. season 13 episode 7 delivers suspense and tension as the Intelligence Unit revisits a case from a couple of episodes ago after a new but suspiciously familiar murder happens in town. After a murder with similar injuries of Gary Bell's victims in Chicago P.D. season 13 episode 4, Voight's suspicions that Gary's father, Raymond, is the culprit.
However, despite the team scrambling to find evidence and catching Raymond in a lie, they don't have enough to arrest him or even search his house. It puts Officer Eva Imani in a precarious situation after she believes that Gary's daughter, Julie, who is now under Raymond's care, is in grave danger.
After a text of a series of emojis and a disturbing call with nothing but Julie's staggered breathing, Imani goes rogue and rushes to the Bell residence to save Julie. But only Julie's broken phone is there; no Julie in sight. Also in Chicago P.D. season 13 episode 7, Voight finally has the confirmation that Devlin has been the one trying to blackmail him.
