The Chicago Bears could be one of the more aggressive teams on draft night, and not necessarily because they’re looking to move up, but because they don’t necessarily need to force a pick
With the effects of the Jaylen Waddle trade, the Miami Dolphins find themselves in need of an elite playmaker to replace his production.
NFL.com’s Chad Reuter proposed a trade in which Miami would target a difference-maker already in the draft, proposing a deal that would send draft capital to Chicago.
“Miami sends the first- and third-round picks it received in the Jaylen trade (as well as a fifth-rounder) to Chicago in order to acquire the explosive after-the-catch playmaker needed with Waddle gone (along with the Bears’ fourth-round pick),” he wrote.
Reuter then had the Dolphins selecting KC Concepcion. Concepcion showed to be a good player in college, and while he isn’t Waddle, he’d be a nice addition in Miami.
To move up five picks, sending a third and a fifth isn’t ideal, but it might be what needs to happen if the Dolphins want to land a certain player, even if it’s not Concepcion.
