Chelsea skipper Enzo Fernandez has reportedly agreed on a sensational move away from the club.
With just two matches to go this season, the Blues still have a lot to play for. They take on Nottingham Forest on the final day of the Premier League season and then face Real Betis in the final of the UEFA Conference League next week.
While a win against Forest will guarantee Chelsea Champions League football next season, victory over Betis will see them end their season with silverware.
However, it appears that before these matches even kick off, Chelsea might need to start looking ahead to next season, as star player Fernandez may have agreed to a shock transfer away from Stamford Bridge.
Despite having seven years left on a Chelsea contract that reportedly sees him earn £180,000 a week, a report has claimed that he is preparing to move to La Liga giants Real Madrid this summer.
According to Spanish journalist Gustavo Mendez, the Argentine international and his girlfriend were spotted looking at properties in the Spanish capital this week. He claims that Fernandez has already held conversations with Real Madrid about a potential move and has agreed on terms.

It is believed that national teammate Julian Alvarez, who currently plays for Real's local rivals Atletico Madrid, recommended an area to Fernandez that is close to his current address.
The stumbling block for Fernandez’s move to Madrid
However, regardless of Fernandez's desires and any potential agreement with Real Madrid, the 15-time European champions will have to agree a transfer fee with Chelsea before a move can be finalised.
Since Fernandez joined the Blues from Benfica for a then British-record fee of £ 106 million back in 2023, it's likely that Chelsea will demand a huge fee to facilitate any transfer deal for Fernandez.
And with the 24-year-old under contract with the Premier League side until the summer of 2032, they will be well within their rights to demand this fee.
Given that Fernandez has established himself as a key player for Chelsea, he is expected to start both their last Premier League game and the Conference League final.
