Chelsea are set for a busy summer transfer window with a number of incomings and outgoings certain to take place at the club.
One of the high priorities for Chelsea going into the next season is to sign a world-class striker who can lead the line for the Blues.
While Enzo Maresca’s team has been linked with a number of strikers, including the likes of Liam Delap and Victor Osimhen, neither of them is likely to move to Stamford Bridge.
While Delap is said to prefer a move to Manchester United, Osimhen’s wages could be a potential deal-breaker.
In this scenario, it comes as no surprise that Chelsea are being linked with a move for another Premier League forward.
According to a report by The Telegraph, Chelsea are joined by Liverpool and Arsenal in showing interest in signing Brighton’s Joao Pedro.

It is revealed that the three Premier League sides admire the 23-year-old Brazilian attacker.
The report explains that, in particular, Chelsea and Arsenal are long-term admirers of Pedro, who joined Brighton for £30m in the summer of 2023.
TalkSPORT also claimed in April that Brighton have put a £100m price tag on Pedro to fend off suitors.
It in interesting to note that Joao Pedro has been on Chelsea’s radar since 2023 when he joined Brighton from Watford. He also possesses the ability to play as a no. 10 or in wide positions.
Joao Pedro is still a young and developing player and is likely to fit into Maresca’s team pretty well.
However, if Chelsea are about to go out and spend a £100m on a player, they might as well do it for a player who is the finished product as opposed to someone who is still developing.
