Charlie Hunnam and Girlfriend Morgana McNelis Enjoy Rare Date at Emmys 2025

Charlie Hunnam is treating fans to a side of himself he rarely shares with the public.

The super private star enjoyed a very rare date night with longtime girlfriend Morgana McNelis at the Emmy Awards 2025.

Prior to the Sept. 14 ceremony—hosted by comedian Nate Bargatze and held at the Peacock Theater in downtown Los Angeles—the cute couple walked the red carpet holding each other close. (See every star on the Emmys red carpet here.)

Hunnam looked handsome in a dark blue suit with his jacket unbuttoned to reveal a shiny, coordinating shirt. The Sons of Anarchy alum completed his laid back look with black shoes and sunglasses.

Meanwhile, McNelis rocked a floor-length strapless gold gown that showed off lots of cleavage. The jewelry designer complimented her plunging look with gold jewelry, a black bag and black heels.

After showing off some sweet PDA on the carpet, the two headed inside to enjoy the show.

The lovebirds' outing might have come as a shock to some fans, as Hunnam and his partner of over a decade are notorious for keeping their relationship out of the spotlight.

And the duo isn't in a hurry to get married, even after so many years together.

"[I'm] sort of indifferent," Hunnam admitted during a 2020 SiriusXM interview. "She does not say the same. She's very eager to get married. Yeah, so, I'll do it because it's important to her, but I don't have any great romantic feelings towards it."

The 45-year-old—who wed actress Katharine Towne in Las Vegas when he was 18 after a brief-yet-whirlwind courtship before their marriage ended—went on to joke that his first time down the aisle "didn't turn out that well."

As for Hunnam's reason for attending this year's Emmys, he was tasked with presenting the trophy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series.

"A great performance can help us to understand ourselves, shedding light and clarity on the corners of life that can feel dark and confusing," the 45-year-old said onstage while introducing the nominees. "Through art we can transmute painful truth into something beautiful. These talented artists have all done just that."
