Charley Hull offered fans a closer look at her approach to course management during a on-course exchange with Paige Spiranac at the CME Group Tour Championship. The two walked the fairway at Tiburón Golf Club on Friday, where Spiranac asked Hull about balancing her game, social media presence, and personal life.

Spiranac asked Hull how she manages everything so smoothly. Hull admitted that keeping her routine steady can be challenging.

“It is kind of hard, because I feel like I've got to the point in my career now where I've worked my whole life to get where I want to get,” Charley Hull said. “I can only carry on pushing on. So then it is hard to have, like, down days… off days, and, like, let my head down. And I'm kind of not very good at letting my head down, because I'm just pretty much, like, get off and play at home, practice, practice, practice, recovery and stuff. That's why I find it is quite important to have enough season, and then remember that you are human, and have to enjoy yourself without feeling, like, guilty for any kind of stuff.”

The LPGA Tour shared the moment on Instagram, posting a reel of Charley Hull and Paige Spiranac on the course with the caption:

“@_paige.renee and @charley.hull are having a smashing time out on the course”

Paige Spiranac commented on the post:

“Course management with Charley is always a treat!”

Charley Hull is making her 16th start of the year at the season-ending championship. Her 2025 season has been a rollercoaster. She won the Kroger Queen City Championship, which was her third LPGA title, and she added four top-10 finishes, including a runner-up at the AIG Women’s Open. She also climbed to No. 6 in the Rolex Rankings.

But the year also brought setbacks. She withdrew from the Amundi Evian Championship after a virus caused her to collapse twice during the opening round. and later pulled out of the PIF London. She later withdrew from the PIF London Championship after injuring her ankle when she slipped in a car park.

After 36 holes at Tiburón Golf Club, Hull is tied for 17th at six under par. She opened the week with rounds of 69 on both Thursday and Friday as she heads into the weekend.

Charley Hull’s coach praises her talent

Charley Hull’s season has also put a spotlight on the work she has done with her coach, Matt Belsham. As shared by Golfweek’s Beth Ann Nichols on X, Belsham recently spoke about Hull’s place in the women’s game and the qualities that make her stand out.

Belsham said Hull is one of the most naturally gifted players he has coached and believes she belongs among the best on the LPGA Tour. He said,

"I would say she’s probably in the top half a dozen most talented golfers you’ll ever see on the ladies tour. She’s got all the shots."

Along with the praise, he also explained that Hull plays through physical limits that most people do not notice. Her hips and lower back have been an issue since a childhood fall, making some of her movements harder than they appear.
