Charley Hull opened up about her smoking habit. The English golfer often makes headlines for smoking on the greens.
This week, she is playing at the Grant Thornton Invitational, and ahead of that, she opened up about her anxiety and how she fought with it. In an interview with The Athletic, Hull talked about ADHD.
“They say that when you go through a very stressful situation, it almost triggers my ADHD and anxiety more,” Hull said. “Before, I was never like this. I was twitchy, I was fast. My brain never used to be a demon.” “.....I’m pretty old school, like my family are. Ok cool, you’ve been through a bad time? Just move on, deal with it, deal with it, deal with it,” she added.Charley Hull previously opened up about her mental health struggle back in 2023. In an interview with Today’s Golfer, she talked about her struggle.
"I had a good start to the season, had a second place and a couple of top-10s, but then I missed a couple of cuts because my swing wasn’t quite there, and I was ill as well, so I had to take four weeks off. But I slowly started to get better and now I feel match-fit again, and last week it all clicked into place," Hull said.Hull had a decent season on the LPGA Tour this year and is looking forward to her game this week at the Grant Thornton Invitational.
When will Charley Hull tee off at the Grant Thornton Invitational?
English golfer Charley Hull (Image Source: Imagn)The 2025 Grant Thornton Invitational will start with its first round on Friday, December 12. Charley Hull will team up with Michael Brennan for this week’s event.
They will tee off at 10 a.m. ET on the first tee in a group with Lilia Vu and Lottie Woad. This week’s event features a stellar field of some top-ranked golfers, such as Meghan Khang, Nelly Korda, Maja Stark, Angel Yin, and Lexi Thompson, among others.
Play on Friday will start at 9 a.m. ET with Tom Hoge and Angel Yin taking the first shot of the day. They will tee off in a group with Neal Shipley and Maja Stark.
Meanwhile, in this season on the LPGA Tour, Charley Hull started her campaign at the Founders Cup. She scored four rounds of 68, 72, 66, and 70 to settle in a tie for 19th place. She then settled in T4 at the HSBC Women’s World Championship.
Some of her other notable finishes from this season are T11 at the Ford Championship, T12 at the U.S. Women’s Open, and T4 at the Annika Driven by Gainbridge. She has won the Kroger Queen City Championship.
