The Los Angeles Chargers have had some horrid luck the past few seasons when it comes to injuries, especially along the offensive line.
Last year, Joe Alt and Rashawn Slater missed the majority of the 2025 season, and now they might've just lost another starter for a full season.
Tyler Biadasz, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, is out indefinitely due to a brutal knee injury he suffered during joint practice on Tuesday, when he was rolled up on by a defensive lineman and thrown to the ground on one practice rep.
Chargers' Tyler Biadasz out indefinitely due to knee injury
"Chargers center Tyler Biadasz is out indefinitely after suffering damage to his ACL and additional injuries to his left knee during Tuesday's joint practice against the 49ers, per @rapsheet and me," Schefter reports. "Biadasz will meet with more doctors to try and get more clarity."
This update from Schefter is absolutely brutal for the Chargers and Biadasz. Being out indefinitely is a very bad sign, especially when talk of an ACL injury pops up.
While there's no confirmation of whether this is a season-ending ACL tear or not, the fact that Biadasz is going for a second opinion on such a knee injury is a bad sign.

He's likely going to miss most, if not all, of the upcoming 2026 regular season, seemingly barring a miracle. It's a brutal blow to the Chargers, as their new starting center, who they signed for $30 million over three years this offseason, is now badly hurt.
Rookie Jake Slaughter out of Texas is now in line to be the starting center, though the Chargers are likely to hold a competition to see which backup lineman will take on the starting center responsibilities.
Regardless of who takes over at center for Justin Herbert and the Chargers, this report on Biadasz from Schefter is about as brutal as it gets ahead of the season.
Such a key player for the Chargers is now out indefinitely, as the Chargers, once again, will be down a projected starter for most, if not all, of the regular season.
