There’s a changing of the guard at the Chateau Marmont. Beloved General Manager Casey McShane has left after nearly two decades at the storied hotel for the more brightly lit House of Dior flagship on Rodeo Drive as VP, we hear. The hotel’s famed doorwoman, Anya Varda, has also exited after more than 25 years.
The hotel is apparently looking to recast while veteran Chateau Marmont managing director Amanda Grandinetti steps back into the GM role for now.

Owen Kolasinski/BFA.com/ShutterstockWe spotted Varda (as a guest, rather than manning the famed cobblestone driveway) at W Magazine’s annual Golden Globes party, also attended by hotel owner Andre Balasz. “Anya has been one of the most iconic and loyal employees for 25 years… greeting every celeb in the world,” mused a hotel insider, who insisted the exit was “convivial.”
McShane, who left on very good terms, is now at the Peter Marino-designed Dior space that includes its own chic rooftop restaurant, chef Dominique Crenn‘s Monsieur Dior. The place has already become a power dining spot for players like entertainment lawyer Bryan Freedman, and has hosted a Vogue luncheon.

While it’s early days, a source told Page Six Hollywood that the publisher is soliciting stories from famous guests to share their greatest experiences at the hotel. (If you want to share any with us, email Page Six Hollywood!)
