Laura Geller knows great skincare never go out of style.
The celebrity makeup artist creates her products with women over 50 in mind, and has garnered famous fans like Martha Stewart, Fran Drescher and Jean Smart over the years.
But her beauty routine starts long before she reaches for her makeup brushes, with Geller telling Page Six Style a good skincare regimen — including a gentle exfoliator like Dr. Denese’s Advanced Firming Facial Pads — is the key to gorgeous glam.

QVC“Glycolic acid and salicylic acid — especially in the form of peel pads — can be incredibly effective, helping to smooth texture and allowing my skincare and makeup to perform better,” she says.
Her “personal favorites” include Denese’s formula, which she says is particularly “wonderful for mature skin.”
In addition to firming, the pads are also designed to boost radiance, brighten skin tone and help temporarily reduce the appearance of lines, wrinkles, pores and tightness.
QVC offers a special pack of the product, which is like getting two for the price of one (a $65 savings).

Geller recently participated in a makeup masterclass with QVC. Nick Mendoza“If your skin is dry and you’re not exfoliating in any way, you won’t get the best results from your skincare,” Geller adds.
And the expert says the biggest mistake she sees women over 50 making is “holding on to products from five to 10 years ago.”
“As we get older, our skin changes, and our skincare needs to change with it,” Geller says. “It’s important to meet your skin where you’re at in life.”
