If you’re looking for a cheaper option than getting ripped off by NJ Transit to get back and forth from MetLife Stadium for the FIFA World Cup next year, CC Sabathia may have an alternative.
In a response to a post on X about the fact that it would cost $150 for a round-trip ticket to go to a game for the 2026 World Cup instead of the normal $12.50, the Hall of Famer posted: “$150?! Y’all can park at my crib for the the cost.”
Sabathia, who lives in Bergen County, ended the post with three laughing emojis.
Joking aside, the eye-popping price has created quite a controversy.

“I won’t stick New Jersey commuters with that tab for years to come,” Sherrill said. “That’s not fair. So here’s the bottom line: FIFA should pay for the rides. But if they don’t, I’m not gonna let New Jersey commuters get taken for one.”
