CBS' New ‘Lincoln Lawyer’ Replacement Officially Premieres in 1 Week

Best known for his role as Luke Cage, Mike Colter has a new project on the way that’s going to be a must-watch for Lincoln Lawyer fans. Colter spent years playing Luke Cage while Marvel shows were operating under the Netflix banner, and now he’s finally set to return as the character in the third season of Daredevil: Born Again. Colter’s future as Luke Cage beyond that is in jeopardy, though, as it was recently confirmed that the show is ending with Season 3. Almost exactly three years ago, Colter teamed up with action icon Gerard Butler for one of the most successful thrillers of 2023, Plane, which grossed $75 million at the global box office. Colter was even due to begin shooting a sequel to the movie this year, but the project was put on ice when Butler got cold feet and backed out.

Mike Colter has been busy in the last few years starring in TV shows like Evil and M.I.A., but his next big series is officially only one week away. Colter has been tapped to star in the leading role in Cupertino, the new CBS legal drama premiering on the network next week on Thursday, October 8. New episodes of the show will stream the day after they air on Paramount Plus like all CBS shows. Also starring Busy Phillips and Ella Stiller, Cupertino follows a scrappy lawyer who takes on a tech giant in a high-stakes case. Netflix has the monopoly on great legal thrillers right now with The Lincoln Lawyer, but Cupertino is positioned to be the perfect replacement set to take over the world starting next week.

Another Massive CBS Show Officially Returns This Week

Setting the stage for the arrival of Cupertino by premiering on CBS four days earlier is Tracker, the beloved procedural series starring Justin Hartley that’s now on its fourth season. It’s already been confirmed that Tracker icon and Supernatural veteran Jensen Ackles is returning to star as Russell Shaw in Season 4, but like past seasons, fans can expect his role to be limited to only a few episodes.
