Cavs disrespect former fan favorite Timofey Mozgov in championship reunion

The Cleveland Cavaliers recently held a 10-year reunion celebration of their 2026 NBA championship.

A lot was made about the players who were there and those who weren't. Timofey Mozgov? He didn't even get an invite.

Mozgov spoke recently to Euro Hoops Net and shared this thought:

“I saw the video of that party. No one wrote or called me.”

That's a pretty lame outcome for Mozgov, who deserved an invite.

The 7-foot-1 Russian center is 39 years old now, long gone from the NBA, but he was a fan favorite in Cleveland at his size.

Mozgov played 122 regular season games over two seasons for the Cavs.

In that 2015-16 title season, he appeared in 76 games, including 48 starts. Mozgov averaged 17.4 minutes per game to go with 6.3 points, 4.4 rebounds and 0.8 blocks per game.

He played two more NBA seasons after that -- one for the Lakers, and one for the Nets -- before departing the league.

In the playoffs in 2015-16 for the Cavs, Mozgov got into 13 games and averaged just 5.8 minutes per game. His role was cut down considerably for the postseason.

Still, he was a physically big piece of those Cleveland teams.

If they really didn't invite Mozgov to the party, that seems like a bit of a lame move. Why not?

Either there's some long-term feud no one knows about, or Mozgov simply was forgotten by his teammates, which would be quite sad.
