Carlos Alcaraz recently discussed his private life amid a controversial question about his dating life, which was asked after his first match at the ATP Finals 2025 post-match press conference. The Spaniard admitted being a very open person, but added that he wants to keep some things private.

The World No. 1 overcame Alex de Minaur, Taylor Fritz, and Lorenzo Musetti to top the Jimmy Connors Group at the season-ending event in Turin, Italy. Carlos Alcaraz is set to clash against Felix Auger-Aliassime in the semifinals on Saturday, November 15, and could potentially face the defending champion and the World No.2 Jannik Sinner in the final.

On Sunday, November 9, Carlos Alcaraz defeated Alex de Minaur 7-6, 6-2, to win his first group stage match. However, a bit of controversy erupted during the post-match press conference. The former Russian tennis player, Elena Vesnina, visited the presser and asked Alcaraz about his relationship status. Alcaraz seemed a bit confused, asking the former doubles World No. 1 to repeat the question, and replied honestly.

In his recent interview with EL Pais, Caros Alcaraz opened up about the incident, and also revealed how he deals with questions about his private life. He said:

"My life has been very exposed, so I have to know how to deal with it. Even so, it's true that there are many things that should remain private, because it's important to know the difference between what you can and can't show to others." "Honestly, I'm very open and I share a lot of things, but there are others that are better kept to yourself to feel secure and at peace, even if it's just a small bubble where you can feel safe; so that not everyone can have access to that information or comment on those things. In the end, whether positive or negative, everything has a big impact," he added.

Despite his best efforts to keep his dating life private, the 2025 US Open champion's name was linked with Emma Raducanu earlier this season.

Carlos Alcaraz's name was heavily linked with Emma Raducanu during the US Open this year. The Spaniard partnered with the British No. 1 for the US Open mixed doubles in August, but the duo was knocked out in the first round by Jack Draper and Jessica Pegula.

When Alcaraz announced her mixed doubles partnership with Raducanu, the fans online went wild with relationship theories, further sparking dating rumors. However, Raducanu quickly shut down the rumors during the press conference before her Wimbledon campaign. When a journalist questioned her about the rumor, the 2021 US Open champion said:

"We're just good friends."

In September this year, Emma Raducanu dismissed another dating rumor by liking a social media post clarifying her friendship with fellow British tennis player Benjamin Heynold.
