The Arizona Cardinals are 2-4 in the regular season following an upset victory over the Los Angeles Rams in Week 6. They are now third in the NFC West, with the Rams in last place; the Cardinals have the tie-breaker over the Rams.
It's Week 6, and the Cardinals have two wins. Surprisingly, both of those wins have come against the Los Angeles teams, with the Rams and the Los Angeles Chargers being the Cardinals' lone wins this season.
But it's a lot stranger than that. As Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team shared on Twitter/x, the Cardinals somehow have more wins than the Chargers and Rams have at SoFi Stadium combined this season.
Cardinals have more SoFi Stadium wins than Chargers and Rams combined
"This is wild: The Cardinals have more wins at SoFi Stadium (2) than the Rams and Chargers have combined (1) this season," Meirov shared.
There are plenty of wild statistics from the start of the 2026 NFL season, but this might be one of the more surprising stats of the season.
Considering the Cardinals entered the 2026 season with little expectation, a year with a very low win count was expected. Two wins in their first four weeks is a little bit of a surprise.
But those wins coming against the Rams and Chargers are an even bigger surprise. Those were two of the more hyped-up teams coming into the year. The Rams being the top Super Bowl contender, and the Chargers as an ascending team ready to break out.

The Cardinals didn't care for preseason expectations, as they beat both L.A. teams this season in their home stadium. The 2-4 Cardinals have more wins at SoFi than the Rams and Chargers have combined.
The 2-4 Rams have lost to the New York Giants, Buffalo Bills, and now the Cardinals at home this season. The Chargers, sitting at 0-6, have lost to the Cardinals, Las Vegas Raiders, and Denver Broncos at home this season.
Of the many wild statistics around the NFL to begin the season, this one for the Cardinals might be one of the most unexpected.
It's not been pretty for Matt LaFleur so far, but this stat is quite the wild and impressive feat for the Cardinals to begin the 2026 season.
