As Super Bowl LX arrives, Cardi B is once again at the center of the conversation — this time for reported tension behind the scenes with fellow New England Patriots wives and girlfriends.
According to The New York Post, sources close to the team claim that Cardi B has been “clashing” with other Patriots WAGs in the days leading up to the biggest game of the season. One insider described the Grammy-winning rapper as “a lot to deal with,” alleging she has kept her distance from others and carried herself in what was characterized as a “diva-like” manner.

“The Patriots are not a franchise that likes flashy behavior,” the source said, adding that Cardi’s presence has allegedly rubbed some people the wrong way. Another claim suggested she is “always looking to be the center of attention,” with “no filter and no limits,” and that similar behavior is evident among members of her entourage.
A representative for Cardi B did not respond to requests for comment.
The report surfaces at a moment when attention around Super Bowl LX is already intense, and Cardi is expected to have a major presence throughout the weekend. Earlier this week, a separate source said the rapper is “incredibly excited and fully locked in,” emphasizing that her plans go well beyond simply attending the game.
“This isn’t just about attending the game — it’s about showing up in the biggest way possible and celebrating with everyone they love,” the source said.
According to the report, Cardi invited roughly 100 friends and family members from both sides to San Francisco for Super Bowl weekend. She is also reportedly covering the cost of a private suite at Levi’s Stadium for about 40 guests, estimated at around $125,000, while paying for additional tickets for others seated in the stands. Those expenses alone were said to total between $700,000 and $725,000. The outlet also reported that four private jets were booked to transport guests.
Despite the current claims of friction, things reportedly looked very different earlier in the postseason. During the Patriots’ playoff run, Cardi appeared to be warmly embraced by the WAGs circle. When she was unable to attend a Wild Card game in person, several Patriots wives and girlfriends posted social media videos dancing to her music and publicly tagging her with messages like, “@iamcardib we miss you girl ❤️.”

Those clips showed a relaxed, celebratory vibe — a contrast to the more recent reports of tension. At the time, the group appeared unified, sharing laughs, music, and pregame rituals as the Patriots advanced.
