Vancouver Canucks head coach Adam Foote pointed fingers at officials following a 5-4 overtime win over the Nashville Predators on Monday.
The Canucks blew a two-goal lead but recovered in overtime with Brock Boeser’s game-winning goal. In the third period, Evander Kane was penalized for high-sticking Predators forward Luke Evangelista, which helped Nashville tie the game with a power-play goal and force overtime.
After the game, Foote explained that it was not a correct penalty call on Kane:
"They missed a couple calls, especially Kaner’s — it wasn’t a penalty at all. It was actually the other way, it was a diving call. They missed it."Meanwhile, the overtime win helped the Canucks improve their record to 7-7-0 and hold sixth place in the Pacific Division. They play the Chicago Blackhawks next on Wednesday.
