WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker met boxing icon Saul "Canelo" Alvarez backstage at AAA's Guerra de Titanes on Saturday in Guadalajara, Mexico. The footage of the legendary meetup between the two biggest names of their respective sports.

In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, WWE uploaded a video of Canelo meeting The Undertaker backstage. The four-division boxing champion brought his wife and children, who also met The Deadman.

Canelo's son was wearing a Penta mask and attire. He was born and raised in Guadalajara, so he had to be present at one of the biggest wrestling events in the city to end the year.

The Undertaker is a huge boxing fan and had even incorporated it in his arsenal during his "American Bad Ass" and "Big Evil" gimmicks. He was even once part of Team Pacquiao's entrance in 2005, when Manny Pacquiao fought against Hector Velasquez in the United States, as reported by Spin.

Meanwhile, Canelo Alvarez was coming off a unanimous decision loss to Terence Crawford last September 13 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, the venue for next year's WrestleMania 42. He's scheduled to return to the ring in early 2026, according to Ring Magazine.

The Undertaker considered fighting in the UFC

As mentioned above, The Undertaker was a huge fan of boxing. He was also a big follower of mixed martial arts and even famously confronted Brock Lesnar at UFC 121 in 2010. The Phenom told Busted Open Radio back in February that he considered leaving WWE to join the UFC in the late 1990s.

"UFC is coming up big at this point. They’re growing. If I had an amateur wrestling background, there is a good chance I would have tested those waters. I felt like I would have been able to get my stand up on point. I have no idea, I might get my a** smashed," Taker said. [H/T Bloody Elbow]

The Deadman added that he passed on the opportunity because WWE was paying him too much money. He had a growing family, and he wasn't confident about his chances due to not having an amateur wrestling background.
