Can You Watch Bill Clinton’s Epstein Deposition?

Former President Bill Clinton is testifying before the House Oversight Committee about the nature of his friendship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and his accomplice, Ghislaine Maxwell.

Clinton is testifying before Congress just one day after his wife, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, testified about her knowledge regarding his relationship with Epstein. This marks the first time a former president has been compelled to testify to Congress and possibly sets a precedent for President Trump to also be questioned.

Bill and Hillary have not been accused of any wrongdoing. In her testimony, Hillary maintained that she had never met Epstein and later claimed Bill’s friendship with the late financier ended “several years before anything about Epstein’s criminal activities came to light,” per The Guardian.

In his opening statement, the former president maintained he “saw nothing” and “did nothing wrong.”

“As someone who grew up in a home with domestic abuse, not only would I not have flown on his plane if I had any inkling of what he was doing—I would have turned him in myself and led the call for justice for his crimes, not sweetheart deals,” he said.

He also said it was “simply not right” to force Hillary to testify. “She had nothing to do with Jeffrey Epstein. Nothing. She has no memory of even meeting him,” he claimed in his statement.

After Bill was spotted in several photographs that were released in the Department of Justice’s Epstein files, people on both sides of the aisle have been waiting to hear the Clintons testify about the nature of their relationship with Epstein, who was convicted in 2008 of soliciting prostitution from a minor. But it may take some time before any footage or transcripts from the depositions become available.

No, Clinton’s Epstein deposition is not available to watch from home at the moment.

However, the deposition will be recorded. CNN reports Republican lawmakers hope to release videos of the testimony “within days,” according to a source. Transcripts are also expected to be made public.

The Clintons had pushed for Republicans to have a public hearing.

“I will not sit idly as they use me as a prop in a closed-door kangaroo court by a Republican Party running scared,” Bill wrote on X before the deposition. “If they want answers, let’s stop the games & do this the right way: in a public hearing, where the American people can see for themselves what this is really about.”

Some live reports are already coming out of the courtroom as Bill’s deposition continues. According to CNN’s live updates, Bill has been questioned about his relationships with the women he was photographed with in the Epstein files, as well as why his name appears in Epstein’s flight logs.

Bill’s closed-door deposition is expected to last several hours.
