Dallas Stars forward Mikko Rantanen celebrated his 29th birthday this week. On Wednesday, his fiancee Susanna Ranta marked the special occasion with a warm tribute on her Instagram stories.

“Happy birthday love 🤍,” and tagged him.The next story saw Rantanen relaxed casually in a lounge chair by a pool dressed in a dark T-shirt while holding the couple’s puppy curled into his lap. Ranta added a short but heartfelt note in the caption:
“We love you 🤍”The third story was a black-and-white mirror photo featuring the pair embracing. Mikko was in a light jacket over a dark shirt, while Susanna wore a fitted white dress, the flash obscuring their faces in the click.

Mikko Rantanen and Susanna Ranata got engaged this year
Earlier in September, Mikko Rantanen shared a special personal milestone with fans. The Finnish winger announced his engagement to longtime girlfriend Susana in a heartfelt post on Instagram.
Rantanen posted a photo of the pair standing on a rocky shoreline overlooking the ocean capturing the moment of the proposal. Rantanen kept his caption minimal announcing the engagement with a ring and heart emoji.
Susana shared her own post shortly after, publishing a slideshow of photos from the moment with a touching caption that read:
“Love you forever and ever ❤️.”Susana Ranta hails from Finland and studied economics at the University of Vaasa. The two were first linked in 2020 following early social-media sightings together. Since then, the couple has frequently shared glimpses of their travels and time off together.
One of their most memorable public moments came in 2022 when Susana joined Rantanen on the ice after the Colorado Avalanche clinched the Stanley Cup. She posted a photo of the pair in an emotional embrace, writing:
“This moment ❤️ my champ. You deserve it all.”The 2024-25 season saw Rantanen being traded twice, first from the Avalanche to the Carolina Hurricanes and then to the Dallas Stars. The star forward has now signed an eight-year, $96 million extension with Dallas and the couple seemingly has settled in Texas.
