The Los Angeles Sparks have been without one of their most important frontcourt contributors over the past week, but Cameron Brink offered fans a reason to feel optimistic about her recovery on Wednesday. Brink, who has missed the Sparks' last two games after suffering an ankle injury against the Golden State Valkyries, shared a personal update on Instagram that quickly caught the attention of teammates and WNBA fans alike.
The post featured a collection of photos from throughout the season, highlighting everything from game action to off-court fashion and moments with teammates. The final image, however, showed the reality of her recovery, revealing an ankle that remained visibly swollen and bruised. Despite the setback, Brink paired the photo with an encouraging message.
"Be back soooooon🎭," she wrote.

Sparks teammates quickly show their support
It didn't take long for Brink's teammates and fellow WNBA players to fill the comments with words of encouragement.
Kate Martin wrote:
"Baller!!!!"
Former Sparks star Chiney Ogwumike added:
"we love you little sis 🤍"
Seattle Storm forward Nneka Ogwumike also chimed in with:
"can't wait ☺️"
The Sparks' official account responded with purple and gold hearts, while teammate Erica Wheeler added:
"Missing my chest bump buddy! And hype woman 😍"
Chance Gray also commented:
"Miss you already!"
The overwhelming support reflected just how valued Brink has become inside the Sparks locker room despite coming off the bench for much of the season.
Brink has been one of the Sparks' most impactful reserves
While Brink's numbers don't always tell the full story, she has enjoyed the best season of her young WNBA career. Through 14 appearances, the former Stanford standout is averaging career highs of 9.2 points, 4.4 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.5 blocks in just 17.5 minutes per game. Her defensive energy, rim protection and hustle have helped give Los Angeles an important spark whenever she checks into the game. The Sparks currently sit at 8-8, holding the eighth and final playoff spot as they continue a tightly contested race in the Western Conference.
With two road games remaining before returning home for a three-game homestand, Los Angeles would certainly welcome Brink's return as soon as she's medically cleared. Although the team has not announced an official timetable, Brink's latest social media post made one thing clear: she's already looking ahead to getting back on the court.
