Don't look now, but the Chicago Bulls are in total rebuild mode. New head coach Tiago Splitter has taken over. The team also has a new executive vice president of basketball operations in Bryson Graham.

And Graham isn't messing around. He's done a total front-office and coaching overhaul. But, one of the most high-profile decisions for this new era, aside from hiring Graham and Splitter, was the Bulls' decision to draft Caleb Wilson with their No. 4 overall pick.

Now, Wilson is already proving that he can be a hero for this franchise. Not to get ahead of ourselves, but his NBA Summer League debut should have Chicago fans absolutely pumped.

Caleb Wilson is already breaking records in the NBA

Wilson debuted in the Bulls' NBA Summer League game in Las Vegas against the Memphis Grizzlies. Even though the Bulls lost, 97-96, Wilson came out the winner.

In his NBA Summer League debut, Wilson gave a record-breaking performance. He scored 35 points, which is being called the unofficial highest-scoring Summer League debut in NBA history, according to Fox Sports.

So, did Wilson bask in the glow of his stunning performance after the game? Not a chance. He stayed humble and even said that he was disappointed for having too many turnovers. That's the response from someone hungry for victory.

"We lost. My goal is to come here and win," he told the media after the game, per Fox Sports.

Even though the Bulls lost, Wilson was unstoppable from start to finish for Chicago. He had a better performance than the guys who went before him in the draft. One point at a time, Wilson is proving the Bulls were wise, and lucky, to pick him in the draft. The future may be now for this franchise.
