Caitlin Clark debuted a special pair of signature shoes Friday night, but one review apparently mattered more than the others. The Indiana Fever star wore the “Friendship Bracelet” colorway of her Nike Caitlin 1 during a 111-91 victory over the Connecticut Sun. The design was inspired by the friendship-bracelet tradition that became synonymous with Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour.
When Clark was asked about Swift’s opinion of the shoes, she delivered a simple three-word response.
“Taylor likes them,” Clark said with a smile in a video shared by the Fever.
That should qualify as a strong endorsement. Clark and Swift have developed a public friendship over the past several years. Clark attended multiple Eras Tour concerts and sat with Swift at a Kansas City Chiefs playoff game in January 2025.
Now, Swift has influenced one of the most personal designs in Clark’s growing Nike collection.
Clark’s latest shoes can be customized
The Friendship Bracelet Caitlin 1 features a pearl-pink base with an iridescent finish. Its fuzzy laces are decorated with colorful beads and charms, including references to Clark’s initials and No. 22 jersey.

“Probably some of the ones that I was the most excited about,” Clark said before the game. “Obviously I had the Kobe version, but I feel like these are even better, and it’ll come with some charms that everybody can pick and kind of make your own.”

Clark previously wore a special Taylor Swift-inspired edition of the Nike Kobe 6 Protro. The Caitlin 1 version brings the concept to her own signature line.
The shoes received an ideal on-court introduction. Clark scored 34 points, handed out 12 assists and made six 3-pointers against Connecticut. She also recorded five rebounds and three steals while helping Indiana overcome a 14-point first-quarter deficit.
Kelsey Mitchell added 34 points as the Fever improved to 26-14.
Clark became the first player in WNBA history to record at least 30 points and 10 assists in consecutive games. She had 37 points and 10 assists in Indiana’s previous victory over the Chicago Sky.
The shoes had already received Swift’s approval. After Clark’s latest historic performance, Fever fans probably liked them even more.
