When gearing up for March Madness, conference titles come first. The 2026 CAA women's tournament is getting started this week in Richmond.
As a smaller conference, performance in this tournament is arguably more important for CAA teams. Whoever takes home the title will secure an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament, where the real magic happens.
The bracket is officially set, with Charleston, Campbell, Stony Brook and Drexel all situated with double-byes to start. The first round will serve as a play-in game for Northeastern and UNC Wilmington, who are the bottom two teams in conference play.
