Bulls predicted to cut ties with 3-and-D top-five pick for lackluster return with Lakers

It's going to be a very busy offseason for the Chicago Bulls, with a new front office and a new coaching staff.

There's reason to believe that Chicago can finally get back to being a respectable team in the NBA and, hopefully, start contending sometime over the next few years.

Holding the fourth pick in the draft will be the deciding factor right now in how good the Bulls' future looks, though there's reason to be excited if they can land Caleb Wilson.

Outside of that, the Bulls will have to make the necessary moves to trade away some of their players for future assets. One of those players that's now being floated as a potential trade option is Isaac Okoro, who the Chicago Sun-Times recently predicted would end up with the Los Angeles Lakers after the draft.

“After landing Wilson with the No. 4 pick and finding no takers on a trade for Williams, Graham will send Okoro to the Lakers for a package that includes future draft assets,” Joe Crowley of the Chicago Sun-Times wrote.

The Lakers are definitely in the mix for a player who can do what Okoro does. He's not exactly the perfect fit, but he would give them some depth, and there's something to be said about that for a Lakers team that JJ Redick has already said he wants to add more depth to.
