On Wednesday night, the Chicago Bulls are set to host the Indiana Pacers as they look to rebound from what was a 15-point loss to the San Antonio Spurs on Monday night.
Victor Wembanyama showed the NBA world why he deserves to be an MVP candidate, dropping 41 points while securing 16 rebounds and swatting three blocks in the game.
Stephen Castle’s 21 points would play second fiddle to the French superstar, but would be enough to see the Spurs come out over the Bulls, who stayed in the fight for the most part due to a combined 41 points from Leonard Miller and Collin Sexton off the bench.
Josh Giddey’s injury report status against the Pacers
While not dropping a significant amount of points, Josh Giddey would record ten assists against San Antonio, making it the 27th game of the season in which he dished out double-digit assists.
Despite taking the court against the Western Conference giants, the Australian guard may miss out on Wednesday night’s action due to tightness in his left hamstring, according to the Bulls’ injury report. He's officially listed as "questionable" and his final status will be determined prior to tipoff.
Giddey’s left hamstring has been a source of concern throughout the season, given that he missed some time earlier in the season due to a similar injury.
But, when the 23-year-old has taken to the court, he’s been more than productive, averaging 17.2 points and 9.2 assists per game, recording 28 double-doubles and 13 triple-doubles over the course of the season.
In his place, Billy Donovan has the likes of Rob Dillingham, Tre Jones, and the aforementioned Sexton to choose from.
