Buffalo Bills $24 million wide receiver in danger of being cut?

4 hours ago 3

The Buffalo Bills went from not having enough wide receivers to potentially having too many. The Bills signed former Cleveland Browns wide receiver Elijah Moore to a one-year deal worth up to $5 million.

Currently, the Bills have five capable wide receivers. Josh Palmer and Keon Coleman will likely be their starting boundary receivers to start the year, with Khalil Shakir in the slot. That leaves Moore and Curtis Samuel as the two who will be potentially fighting for reps. However, don't be shocked in Moore ends up being the No. 1 boundary receiver.

Last year, he had 61 receptions, which would have easily ranked second on the Bills roster. He caught 17 more passes than Dalton Kincaid, who was the Bills' second-leading pass-catcher. He had 30 more receptions than Samuel, who ranked second amongst receivers for the Bills in 2024. This could leave Samuel, who signed a three-year deal worth up to $24 million last offseason, could be on the chopping block. While having Samuel as a No. 5 option would be great, paying him $8 million to be the fifth receiver is far too expensive.
